I had an interesting weekend. On Friday we had another welcome party for all new UNAK students. We went to a local forrest Kjarnaskógur, played outdoor games and enjoyed lovely Icelandic weather (4°C, windy and it rained a bit). Still, few students decided to cool themselves down by jumping off from a canoe. Afterwards we were offered some free beer and the rest is history ;) I hang out the whole evening with a bunch of nice local people.
On Saturday the streets were filled with people because of Akureyri town festival. There were different cultural events all day. I listened to few bands, saw some creepy bastards performing a dance of some kind and heard traditional songs performed by some old farts at the harbour. It was fun :)
